China offers a broad supplier base for cardboard fruit boxes, from large corrugated packaging groups to specialist manufacturers producing branded fruit cartons, retail-ready trays, and promotional packaging. For professional buyers, however, the most suitable partner is not necessarily the company with the largest factory. It is the manufacturer that can match the fruit, distribution route, order volume, and compliance requirements with a repeatable packaging specification.

This guide compares ten China-based manufacturers and packaging suppliers worth evaluating. It distinguishes industrial-scale corrugated producers from custom-printing specialists and retail-display manufacturers, helping buyers build a more practical sourcing shortlist.

This article is published for Long Win Display, which appears first because of its relevance to customized retail packaging and display integration. This is a procurement shortlist, not an independently audited ranking by sales, production volume, or fruit-packaging market share. Company capabilities are based on publicly available information; current certificates, factory ownership, and order-specific performance require verification.

Custom Cardboard Fruit Boxes From China

Why Source Cardboard Fruit Boxes from China?

China's paper packaging sector supports a substantial domestic market and international supply chain. Mordor Intelligence's current market outlook estimates China's paper packaging market at USD 96.13 billion in 2026, up from USD 91.36 billion in 2025. Its analysis identifies corrugated boxes as the largest product segment, accounting for 43.23% of the market in 2025. These figures describe the broader paper packaging industry—not cardboard fruit boxes alone.

For fruit importers, growers, distributors, and retail brands, the practical advantage lies in the range of suppliers available:

- Large packaging groups offering corrugated production and integrated distribution.

- Export-oriented converters supplying customized fruit shipping cartons.

- Printing specialists developing premium fruit gift boxes.

- Retail packaging manufacturers combining cartons with shelf-ready trays and promotional displays.

The supplier base also spans several useful sourcing regions. This shortlist includes manufacturers in Shanghai and the surrounding Yangtze River Delta, Shenzhen and Guangzhou in Guangdong, Xiamen in Fujian, Qingdao in Shandong, and Dalian in Liaoning. These locations offer different combinations of corrugated manufacturing, printing, export logistics, and retail packaging expertise.

The key is to choose the right supplier category before comparing quotations. A decorative fruit gift box and a ventilated export carton may both use cardboard, but they solve very different problems.

How We Selected These Manufacturers

A credible supplier assessment should examine more than a product photograph or an attractive unit price.

The following framework underpins this shortlist and provides a useful starting point for factory qualification.

Assessment area What buyers should evaluate Evidence to request
Product relevance Fruit cartons, corrugated trays, retail boxes, or closely related packaging Comparable projects, physical samples, drawings
Structural development Ability to balance stacking, ventilation, handling, and presentation Design proposals and test plans
Manufacturing control In-house operations versus subcontracted processes Equipment list, process map, factory audit
Quality assurance Incoming material checks and finished-carton testing Inspection records, traceability, test reports
Customization support Dimensions, printing, inserts, coatings, and assembly Approved specifications and sample workflow
Compliance Requirements applicable to the material, application, and destination Current certificates and relevant laboratory reports
Delivery reliability Realistic scheduling during seasonal demand Production booking, material availability, delivery history
Commercial transparency Clear MOQ, tooling, freight, and payment terms Itemized quotation and written exclusions

Public information is not equally detailed across these businesses. Where an exact establishment year, regional sales breakdown, fruit-box capacity, or certification status could not be established, this guide states that limitation rather than substituting an estimate.

Capacity, MOQ, and Certification

The table below separates published information from points that still require quotation-stage confirmation.

Capacity figures are supplier statements, not independently audited output. Figures covering all packaging products should not be interpreted as dedicated fruit-box capacity.

The comparison draws on the manufacturers' public descriptions and product pages. Availability, current operating capacity, and commercial terms must be confirmed directly before purchase.

The Top 10 Cardboard Fruit Boxes Manufacturers in China

1. Long Win Display

A practical candidate for branded retail packaging and display-led projects

Long Win Display Shenzhen Limited specializes in the design, customization, production, and preloading of retail displays and packaging. Its published range includes cardboard display stands, counter displays, pallet displays, display boxes, gift boxes, and package boxes. The company identifies Shenzhen as its headquarters and states that its production facilities moved to Yiwu, Zhejiang, after 2020.

Its timeline distinguishes three milestones:

- Founder's display-design experience beginning in 2006.

- Opening of Long Win Display in 2018.

- Establishment of the Yiwu branch in 2020.

The 2006 experience milestone should not be confused with the company's stated 2018 opening date. Its disclosed customer regions include Asia, North America, Oceania, and Europe.

For small and medium-sized brands, Long Win's potential value is its design-to-production workflow. The company describes control over design, prototyping, printing, production, and delivery, alongside an emphasis on simplifying structures, reducing material waste, and minimizing packing volume. These capabilities are relevant when a buyer needs fruit packaging coordinated with a retail tray, promotional display, or branded launch program.

Its OEM scope includes customized packaging dimensions, printed graphics, structural development, and display integration. Buyers seeking more extensive supplier-led development should discuss the proposed structure, prototype revisions, and assembly requirements.

The qualification point is important: the reviewed company page establishes display and general packaging capability, not a dedicated cold-chain fruit-carton specialization. Buyers requiring long-duration refrigerated transport should request comparable fruit projects, moisture-conditioned compression testing, and material compliance evidence before approval.

For brands prioritizing flexibility and efficient communication, the recommended evaluation is a paid development brief with a defined response schedule, prototype milestones, and transparent tooling costs—not an assumption based solely on company size.

2. Forests Packaging Group

A relevant option for export-oriented corrugated fruit cartons

Forests Packaging Group's fruit-box page explicitly offers customized corrugated packaging for fruit and vegetables, including avocado packaging and cartons suitable for apples, bananas, and pears. The business states that its paper packaging activities date to 1986 and that its international marketing operations began in 2006. It also reports serving more than 200 markets.

That direct product relevance makes Forests a useful candidate for buyers seeking printed fruit shipping boxes rather than primarily decorative packaging.

Its OEM offering includes custom box dimensions and printed surfaces. The company identifies a factory in Fengxian, Shanghai, which is relevant when assessing export routing and production-site access.

Before ordering, request the exact supplying entity, current board specification, pallet configuration, and moisture-performance test results. A broad international footprint does not automatically establish suitability for a specific fruit, stacking pattern, or refrigerated route.

3. Xiamen Hexing Packaging Printing Co., Ltd.

A candidate for larger, integrated packaging programs

Xiamen Hexing Packaging Printing, also known as HXPP, was established in May 1993. Its official profile describes research, design, production, sales, warehousing, and distribution services, with packaging operations serving China and Southeast Asia. Products include corrugated boxes, printed color boxes, honeycomb packaging, cushioning materials, and pulp-molded products.

Its principal attraction is the breadth of its packaging and service infrastructure. Buyers managing multiple product lines or distribution locations may benefit from assessing integrated packaging, warehousing, and delivery rather than purchasing cartons as an isolated item.

The disclosed service range supports custom packaging development, but buyers should still request fruit-specific references. Confirm which plant would produce the order, whether that plant handles comparable produce packaging, and how specifications are controlled across repeat production.

Xiamen Hexing Packaging Printing is a different business from Ningbo Hexing Packaging, which appears later in this guide.

4. Pacific Millennium Packaging Group

A candidate for engineered corrugated transport packaging

Pacific Millennium Packaging Group was founded in 1994. Its published business profile covers corrugated packaging, display boxes, paper pallets, heavy-duty packaging, structural design, packaging consultation, and transit-simulation testing. Its business is centered on manufacturing and selling packaging materials in China.

The company's product information describes single-wall, double-wall, and triple-wall corrugated structures, alongside customized packaging for different industries.

For fruit buyers, the relevant strength is packaging engineering: the ability to consider the carton together with palletization, handling, and distribution demands.

Its OEM and development scope is broader than printed artwork alone. Nevertheless, buyers should verify fresh-produce experience at the proposed supplying plant. General transport-packaging expertise does not eliminate the need for ventilation design and moisture-conditioned fruit-carton testing.

5. Suneco Packaging

A directly relevant supplier for customized fruit and vegetable cartons

Suneco Packaging's public website describes a factory in Huangdao District, Qingdao, supplying cardboard packaging to overseas buyers. Its range includes fruit and vegetable cartons, corrugated shipping boxes, printed boxes, and other paper packaging. The company identifies Europe, the United States, and Japan among its export destinations.

Its website states a general order quantity of 500 pieces and claims monthly capacity of 30 million paper boxes and bags. That capacity covers a mixed product portfolio and should not be treated as the output available for one fruit-carton specification.

Suneco's customization scope includes dimensions, printing, materials, and packaging development based on product weight, packing process, and delivery route. Its fruit-box pages also describe ventilated corrugated packaging.

An exact establishment year was not established in the reviewed source. Buyers should confirm the registered company name, factory address, production allocation, and quotation validity.

6. Shanghai DE Printed Box

A candidate for printed fruit cartons and premium presentation

Shanghai DE Printed Box offers corrugated printed boxes, folding cartons, rigid boxes, trays, and packaging inserts. Its website also identifies corrugated fruit cartons within its published technical content.

The business describes more than a decade of packaging experience but does not establish an exact founding year in the reviewed page. It presents itself as serving global clients without providing a verified regional sales breakdown.

Its customization options include E-flute, F-flute, double-wall shipping boxes, handles, inserts, lithographic printing, flexographic printing, and a wide range of decorative finishes. The website states ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification, which buyers should verify against the current certificate holder and production site.

This supplier is worth evaluating when fruit packaging must deliver strong graphics or gift presentation. For transport-intensive projects, the buyer should make compression, moisture performance, and food-contact suitability the primary approval criteria—not decorative finish alone.

7. Liaoning Kunze Industrial Group / Eco-Pack

A candidate for fruit cartons alongside broader produce packaging

Eco-Pack's fruit-box page identifies Liaoning Kunze Industrial Group as the supplier and describes corrugated fruit packaging with customizable printing. The company profile lists a paper packaging factory in Dalian and a separate pulp packaging operation in Guangxi.

The distinction between those production categories matters. Published molded-pulp capacity should not be used to estimate cardboard fruit-carton capacity.

Its fruit-box page welcomes samples, trial orders, and smaller orders, although it does not establish one numeric MOQ for every specification. It also gives a normal production window of 20–45 days, subject to the order.

The company describes serving food brands worldwide; an exact establishment year and detailed geographic sales breakdown were not established in the reviewed sources.

Buyers should confirm which legal entity and plant will produce the cartons and request documentation specifically covering that site and product.

8. XieChen Printing

A candidate for customized, presentation-focused fruit boxes

XieChen's dedicated fruit-packaging page describes structural customization, design-engineering support, and production of different fruit-box formats. Published options include offset printing, screen printing, UV treatments, hot stamping, and glossy or matte lamination.

Its public offering is relevant to branded fruit packaging, especially where presentation and custom construction are important.

However, the reviewed product page does not establish an exact founding year, verified regional market distribution, numeric MOQ, or production capacity. These should be requested during qualification.

For OEM projects, ask for fruit-specific samples that demonstrate the proposed board, ventilation, inserts, and print process together. A visually impressive sample is not sufficient evidence of refrigerated stacking performance.

9. Ningbo Hexing Packaging Co., Ltd.

A candidate for customized corrugated shipping cartons

Ningbo Hexing Packaging publishes a range of printed cartons, corrugated shipping boxes, gift boxes, and display-related products. Its website identifies a factory in Cixi, Zhejiang, with an area exceeding 5,000 square meters and a location approximately 75 kilometers from Ningbo Port.

Its corrugated shipping-box page offers customized branding and packaging information. That makes the company relevant to buyers sourcing printed transport packaging, although fruit-specific technical suitability requires additional qualification.

The reviewed sources do not establish an exact founding year or detailed regional sales distribution. Ask for current registration documents, export references, and comparable produce-carton orders.

Because its name resembles that of Xiamen Hexing Packaging Printing, verify the legal entity carefully on quotations, certificates, bank details, and inspection bookings.

10. Guangzhou Qianxun Packaging

A candidate for customized fruit-packaging development

Guangzhou Qianxun Packaging publishes a dedicated fruit-box offering, making it a relevant company to include in an initial sourcing exercise.

The reviewed product source does not establish an exact founding year, fruit-carton production capacity, regional market breakdown, or independently verified certification status.

Its most useful role in a shortlist is therefore as a candidate for further qualification, rather than as a supplier whose industrial performance is already proven by public evidence.

Send a detailed OEM brief and request a proposed structure, board specification, quotation, and representative sample. For supplier-led design work, clarify ownership of drawings and tooling before paying development fees.

Buyer's Guide: Specify Performance Before Comparing Price

1. Define the Fruit and Distribution Conditions

A usable enquiry should identify:

- Fruit type and size range.

- Net and gross packed weight.

- Direct or indirect contact with the cardboard.

- Required internal dimensions.

- Manual or machine erection.

- Storage temperature and expected humidity.

- Maximum storage and transport duration.

- Pallet footprint, layer count, and stacking pattern.

- Ventilation requirements.

- Retail presentation and printing requirements.

Fresh-produce packaging must balance cushioning, ventilation, strength, and moisture resistance. These are linked requirements: increasing ventilation openings, for example, must be assessed alongside the tray's structural performance. FEFCO identifies these functions as central to corrugated produce packaging.

2. Specify the Board Structure, Not Just "Three-Ply" or "Five-Ply"

Ply count alone does not define a carton's performance.

A purchasing specification should identify the liner and medium grades, their grammages, flute configuration, finished dimensions, adhesive system, and any surface treatment. It should also define the performance tests and conditioning requirements used for acceptance.

For fruit trays, FEFCO's Common Footprint Quality framework highlights two particularly relevant checks:

- Box compression testing, which evaluates resistance to vertical stacking loads.

- Cobb water absorption testing, which evaluates the board's interaction with moisture.

Ask suppliers to distinguish board-level test results from finished-box results. Neither a material description nor an unconditioned sample should replace testing of the finished production design.

Cardboard Fruit Box Structure And Quality Inspection

3. Choose Printing and Finishing Around the Application

Packaging graphics should support the distribution task rather than compromise it.

For a functional shipping carton, ask whether a simpler print process can meet branding needs. For premium fruit gifting, evaluate the extra cost and material complexity of lamination, foil, handles, and inserts.

Manufacturers such as Shanghai DE Printed Box and XieChen publish extensive printing and finishing options. The buyer's responsibility is to select only those needed for the application and then validate the finished construction.

4. Apply the Right Compliance Requirements

Ordinary cardboard fruit boxes are not normally products requiring CE marking. European guidance states that CE marking applies only to product categories covered by legislation requiring it; it must not be applied where such requirements do not exist. A generic "CE certificate" is therefore not a meaningful substitute for fruit-packaging compliance evidence.

For EU food-contact applications, FEFCO identifies Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 and Regulation (EC) No 2023/2006 on good manufacturing practice as central requirements for corrugated packaging. The appropriate evidence depends on the intended contact conditions, materials, and destination.

Also keep different document types separate:

- Management-system certificates concern the certified organization and scope.

- Material or product test reports concern particular samples and test conditions.

- FSC documentation concerns the relevant certified chain-of-custody arrangements and claims.

FSC provides public certificate-search tools that buyers can use to check supplier information.

Common Sourcing Problems and How to Avoid Them

Procurement risk Why it matters Practical control
Material substitution A repeat order may use a different paper combination Lock the board schedule and prohibit unapproved substitutions
Samples unlike production A hand-built sample may not reflect normal manufacturing Approve a production-representative pilot
Incomplete test conditions A result may not represent the intended supply chain Record conditioning, load, duration, and acceptance limits
Unclear subcontracting The quoted business may not perform all production steps Map each operation and approve subcontractors
Decorative features masking weak engineering Good printing can distract from stacking or moisture weaknesses Approve functional performance before final decoration
Misleading capacity comparisons Mixed-product capacity may not be available for fruit cartons Confirm line allocation and delivery commitments
Unverified certificates Documents may cover another site or outdated scope Check issuer, holder, address, scope, and status

Approving the Artwork but Not the Construction

A useful anti-substitution safeguard is to make the signed specification—not just the approved artwork—the controlling production document.

The order should lock:

1. Board composition and flute configuration.

2. Ventilation openings and their positions.

3. Handles, tabs, slots, and locking features.

4. Adhesive and coating requirements.

5. Finished dimensions and tolerances.

6. Pallet arrangement and stacking assumptions.

7. Test conditions and acceptance criteria.

This addresses a subtle problem: a carton can retain the same external appearance while its material composition or structural details change.

For example, a revised ventilation slot may look minor to a buyer reviewing artwork, yet the finished tray still needs to satisfy the intended compression and moisture requirements. FEFCO's fruit-tray quality framework treats ventilation, vertical compression, and moisture behavior as related aspects of performance.

The practical rule is simple: any material or structural change should trigger documented approval and, where relevant, repeat testing.

Fruit Carton Sampling And Export Pallet Inspection

Sampling, Factory Verification, and Logistics

Use a Three-Stage Approval Process

A disciplined sample process can separate structural problems from printing decisions.

1. Structural prototype: confirm fit, assembly, handling, and ventilation.

2. Printed prototype: confirm graphics, finish, identification, and consumer presentation.

3. Production pilot: confirm that normal production achieves the agreed specification.

For demanding distribution routes, define the moisture conditioning, compression, and handling tests before the pilot is produced. This avoids approving a sample without agreeing on how performance will be judged. FEFCO's published fruit-tray framework provides a useful technical reference for compression and water absorption checks.

Verify the Actual Factory

Request the legal company name, registration details, factory address, equipment list, quality-control records, and subcontracting arrangements.

During an audit, follow the order through material receipt, printing, converting, gluing, inspection, and dispatch. Confirm who controls each stage and how nonconforming batches are identified.

A certificate should support this assessment, not replace it.

Compare Landed Cost, Not Only Unit Price

Request an itemized quotation covering:

- Cartons and inserts.

- Printing plates and cutting dies.

- Sampling and development.

- Export packing.

- Freight and insurance.

- Destination charges.

- Inspection and testing.

- Palletization or assembly, where applicable.

Flat-packed and preassembled packaging should be quoted separately. The buyer can then compare transport volume against local assembly labor and operating needs.

Long Win Display's published emphasis on simplified structures and reduced packing volume is relevant to this evaluation, particularly for combined packaging-and-display projects.

Conclusion

For export fruit cartons, prioritize relevant produce-packaging experience and documented performance under the intended distribution conditions. For premium fruit gifting, evaluate print quality and presentation without losing control of structural requirements. For retail-ready packaging, assess how the box, tray, and promotional display work together.

Long Win Display is a relevant first enquiry for brands developing customized retail packaging and display-led programs. Its published design, prototyping, printing, production, and preloading capabilities provide a basis for discussing integrated projects; fruit-specific transport performance should be confirmed through samples and testing.

FAQ

1. How can I verify whether a supplier's ISO certificate is expired, suspended, or unrelated to its factory?

Obtain the complete certificate and check the legal entity, site address, standard, scope, certificate number, issuer, and validity dates.

Use IAF CertSearch to look up accredited management-system certifications, then resolve discrepancies with the issuing certification body. Check current status rather than relying only on the expiry date printed on a PDF. IAF's tools support verification of certifications including ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

Also confirm that the certificate covers the production site and activities relevant to your order.

2. How should we choose between single-wall and double-wall cardboard fruit boxes?

Do not choose solely by fruit weight or ply count. Provide the supplier with the packed load, stacking arrangement, handling method, storage duration, and environmental conditions, then request a proposed construction and test plan.

The finished box must achieve the required stacking performance. FEFCO's fruit-tray standard uses box compression testing to assess whether lower trays can support those above them and includes water absorption checks for moisture behavior.

3. Can one "food-grade" certificate cover every fruit, ink, coating, and export destination?

Do not assume so. Ask what material, sample construction, contact conditions, and destination requirements the supporting documentation actually covers.

For EU applications, the relevant framework includes food-contact Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 and good manufacturing practice Regulation (EC) No 2023/2006. FEFCO's guidance is intended to help demonstrate paper-packaging safety for the specified application.

4. What should we do if approved samples pass but mass-production cartons fail?

First, identify whether the production batch matches the approved construction and materials. Compare board composition, dimensions, openings, adhesive, and coating with the signed specification.

Then repeat the agreed tests using the same conditioning and acceptance criteria. Compression and moisture results are only useful for comparison when the test basis is clear; FEFCO treats both as relevant measures for produce trays.

The purchase agreement should define batch traceability, corrective action, replacement responsibilities, and the handling of disputed results.

5. Is an FSC logo on a quotation enough to prove that our fruit boxes can carry an FSC claim?

No. Verify the supplier's certificate information through FSC's public tools, check the relevant scope and current status, and obtain clear confirmation of the claim that will appear on the order documentation.

FSC's public search provides certificate details using organization names, licence codes, or certificate codes. A logo alone does not provide that verification.
